Hi all, yesterday I bought my first ever Aprilia Tuono V4R. Got a cracking deal from On Yer Bike and hope to collect on Tuesday. I am already thinking about fettling, taller screen, after market exhaust (I do not want it too loud), carbon bits and pieces. Any pointers for the best options gratefully received. Roll on the better weather.
 
Welcome to the mad house, you need to get some pics up :yes I'm running the puig screen and like it a lot but mra do one and so do Aprilia.
Exhaust there are loads of options all depends on budget.

Hi Mate, thanks for the welcome, I am looking at around £500 to £600 for the exhaust. I love the sound of the Austin Racing one but it is far to loud for me, the Akra sounds good as does the Arrow, would prefer a carbon one. Cheers
 
Welcome mucker. Are you looking at new or used. If you look on eBay look under rsv4 as well. People ask a premium when it's for Tuono's for some reason

Hey Bud, I'm new to the forum today to and new to Aprilia - just bought a 2003 RSV Tuono this morning and been out razzin it. Sweet ride. I'm hooked. Have fun.

Thanks for that info, I was not aware that they could use the same exhaust

Yeh, got £9999 on the road, brand new 2014 V4R APRC ABS with all the bells and whistles, really looking forward to getting it Tuesday (weather permitting). I know of at least one other guy on the forum who got the same deal. The salesman told me they bought 20 and have sold over half in January.

So today I got the first chance to give my new steed a try out, the roads were ok and I set the APRC into sport mode as track seemed a bit harsh. The bike is awesome and in particular the quick shifter is fantastic. I love the growl of the V4 and I must now get a new aftermarket exhaust to release the full sound. Cannot wait to really try it on the twisties. A couple of pictures attached.image.jpgimage.jpg
