Going for a different colour scheme cos I want a change from black bikes,............ so why buy another black bike then, I hear you say?.....well, it was the only bike the bloke had in his shop and it was reduced, I havent nailed the deal yet and the last deal fell through but if I can secure the steed then this is what Its going to look like, it breaks up the black and of course for the "Pièce de résistance", tri-colour rim tape!!!............... I lurrrrrrrrrrrrrv rim tape :thumbup

Yeah, definitely need some work there :lol better to look at the thumb nail and dont expand :thumbup

Sorry dude, but I think it looks horrible in those colours.
Having said that, its your bike & my opinion counts for **** all.

If you want the Italian look, go white and bring red and green into it, but not in big blocks of colour, just play around with it, you will get there in the end.

Agree totally with the white comments, get the Italian flag colours involved and get some sort of Alitalia paint scheme going.

Managed to secure the black beast today, yee-ha, thanks for your comments, wont be picking up the bike till Feb as Im away working, but going for the green and red scheme to start with as I think it will work, well for me anyway, for those of you interested in real fancy paint jobs or designs have a look here, http://www.leicester-hydrotec.co.uk/

i wanted to break up the yellow on mine so had these done, the stickers are embossed like the tank pads you get, may save you painting the full bike, more could be added to it, i have a nice tank pad but you can get the front end number type boards too, may be worth having a look! moto grafix in rotherham did all my stuff.

Is it from that vinyl stick man ?

Some knob polished my rims and now I've got to have them painted red or black, this will make the rim tape stand out :)

To be honest mate I can't remember and my archive doesnt go back that far. At the time it was the only set on ebay I could find of the tri colour ones.

Nice, I like that look, thanks for the tip, and the tri colour rim tape looks excellent: thumbup what size thickness of rim tape is that?

Cheers, I think its 10mm which I thought would be too thick, but I dont think I could find it in 8mm BUT after saying that I will check tomorrow and let you know cause I could be wrong!!

I had a look at the moto grafix Rotheram site, pricey kind but good quality graphics, cant find your side fairing graphic though, I've e-mailed them with a piccy as I would like this, it would break up the black side fairing panels nicely

It was made as a special but I would imagine he has kept the size/template for it.
The guy who owns the place who made them is Mark Jarvis, ask for him and im sure he would do you some.

Sorry its taken a while but the rim tape is 8mm.

That's okay, thanks for the info, iv'e ordered some boards from Welcome to the Motodemon Motografix Motoshop and got the rim tape ordered from here Awesome Graphics - worldwide graphic designers they sell the tri-colour in 3, 6 or 11mm, being a rim tape hound Iv'e gone for the 11mm, I hope there is enough wheel rim for that size,:D

Nice that you have managed to order the stuff, the rim tape my be a bit thick at 11mm you will have to have a look when it comes.
When you get to see the bike you will love it. I still sometime pop my head in the garage just to have a look at mine.
