Picked this up today , project ' Top Gun ' .... any one from the 80's will get it !!!
Now where did i put my old brown leather jacket ..
Its a 1988 model and its not in bad nic for its age but damn it feels weird to sit on and you forget how comfy seats used to be :yes
Got a spare tank with it and the original twin exhausts as well and every Mot and tax disk and shed loads of paperwork with it , just needs stripping over the winter and going through it and maybe get the plastics and tank re sprayed if im feeling flush !!

Im off to sit on it in the garage and re live the 80's :thumbup

They were cutting edge stuff in the 80's.

My mate had one, big fast bike.

I remember the front tyre went soft when he was going fast because the tyre valve had a weak spring.

I booked a test ride on one when they came oot, I had done ma bit on a cb900 and had some dosh fir a new machine.

I went doon at the allotted time, only to be told they'd fooked up and all that wiz left wiz the 750turbo, OK a said "I'll take that fir a hurl".

Right ya fud the boy says to me " it's no run in yet so yer need tae keep the revs under 6k,,,,,got it" Aye right, where the fooks the 9hunner.

Anyhoo a took the turbo fooker oot fir a hurl,,,,,,,,,,,,,it wiz ok and a bit slow compared tae ma cb.........................until yer hit 5.5k then yer better be hangin on big time 'cause the fook took aff like a scalded cat.

It wiz akin tae the beasty 750 tripple 2ts but rode far better.

I was ' only ' 18 when this thing came out and have never riden one , gonna be weird as fook taking this thing for a spin , bars are narrow and 3 bloody miles away from the seat !!!!! should be fun though !
