Hello everyone ,
Not a good start to the year for me , dragged the bike out of the garage
Today to take the wheels off to get new tyres on it ready for better weather,
And noticed a 1 inch crack on rear of swing arm just in front and above:image.jpgimage.jpg of chain tensioner
(I'll try and post pic )just wondered whether it could welded or will I need to replace it

Sorry about pics being side ways on , not computer savvy enough to turn them round.
As soon as they stopped using chalk and slate at school is was fooked

Replace mate I'm sure u will get 1 ov fleabay for £100 might av more week points on it somewhere ?

Is it a crack or is it just where muck has not been cleaned away ?

As Powley says, if you can get a cheap enough replacement, put that on, use it as a time to grease those bearings in the link.

If you are stuck, take it to a local engineering company, they have various ways of detecting cracks in metal that are quick and cheap.

May be worrying over nothing.

As OT says mucker make sure it is a crack, it might be under cut from the weld.

BTW alloy wheels that have cracked can easily be repaired by welding the cracks.

If it were me I'd need to know why it has cracked.

Thanks for the comments ,
OT wins the cigar, cleaned it out with wipes and got it out in the daylight
It was dirt that got in edge of seam of the weld.
Cheers

Result mucker and well done that man wae the strides. :lol
