I did mate, but i'm not keen on the looks.

I've had Akra before on other bikes and they are one of the best out there, but I want something different for the T.

The Mivv turns up on Tuesday so will take a quick snap and tell you wot it sounds like ........

if i had a V4 this would be my weapon of choice
aprilia tuono v4r mivv ghibli sound - YouTube

love the blue flames! nite vid is cool! the low end rumble and pops are music.

But imo he shoulda placed the mic aft. At revs, the higher frequency valve scream dominates abeam, becomes less impressive recording.

so I'll keep my Akra, (which doubles as a paint peeler, according to the neighbors) tyvm.

cheers from a coold New England!

Had something nice in the post .... will stick it on saturday but will have to drill the rivet out on the DB killer first and get that pesky thing outta there ...001.jpg

Whats your first impression quality wise?

Obviously its not mounted yet but......

It all looks good to me , all the fittings look good , hanger looks nice ... i think its looks really good quality wise , just want to hear the bugger now though !

Well got it on today , easy to fit with no probs .
Now i like a loud pipe and have had open pipes on both my old tuonos but this one with the baffle out may be a tad too loud , didnt ride it with it out but it was bloody loud on tickover ... so i stuck the baffle back in and went for a spin , sounds nice and well happy .001.jpg003.jpg004.jpg

looks great! would love to hear it.

One question, please; is it safe to assume "stock" ECU mapping is still optimal for this new can? I'd imagine the lowered exhaust restriction could well affect the curve?

I asked the dealer where i got the bike and they said it was fine and the race map was more for a full system , i expect others will say different but thats what they told me , seems to run fine with no problems .
Can record it for you if you want to hear it ?
Cheers .

Looks good in white, we also having a lot of rain and hail this side of the world (very unusual) at the moment so I understand the waiting to ride.

ok, cool, go for it, if not too much trouble, ty! I'm curious how sounds! :) certainly looks great. nice job.

maybe "normally" aspirated engines are more finicky to back pressure changes. I know it used to be an issue with carb settings if you ran str8 pipes.

cheers

Will do a little recording for you and post on here so you know how she sounds , cheers mate .

Definitely one of the better looking after market cans I've seen, but I have to say the stock can looks better to me. It's normally the first thing I change on a bike but I'm still to be convinced otherwise with the v4. It looks and sounds great as standard.

beauty is in the eye of the biker , i guess, but to me the stock can looks like a chunky afterthought. very un Italian; like the design dept. was on vacation and they needed something quick. also, with a bike like this, a "performance" can makes a certain statement? cheers.

I think I am with Mikkel on this one, I have no doubt it will sound awesome as I have a pair fitted to my V twin but I think its a horses for courses and IMHO it doesn't suit the bike and spoils the lines. theres defo better out there GPR Thunderslash, MIVV Ghibli and Scorpion Red that would look better and sound just as good.
as I say that's just my opinion so enjoy the noise and keep the baffle in to avoid ears bleeding
