Went out with the off-roaders on sunday.

Did approx. 100 miles from Richmond to Hawes & back.

One of the gang fell off on some mossy rocks whilst riding along a stream - snapped one side of his handlebars clean off.

After a bit of bodging -he was mobile again - heading for home.

Anyway - its good to tour the dales, there are some amazing sights out there that you just don't see from the road.

There was a tree blocking the path, the only way past was to lay the bikes on the sides & drag them through.

And of course you cant go out without splashing about a bit.

Wow that looks chuffin excellent !

Think i recognise one or two of the backdrops......Hope you remember the route for a OT guided rip in the future...

Cheers OT !

:)

Aye OT it's time to polish up my orange again. :yes

I am starting to learn a few routes now.

It really is good, cheap fun - I wish I had started years ago.

Out all day for a tenner's juice plus some dinner.:thumbup

thought my TRF subscription had run out but maybe not :dunno nice pics OT pity you don't take that much attention on the rare foray on the TUONO mucker :lol

Aye, not be long till the clocks change back & spring is here.

Looking fwd to new adventures.

What about a foreign trip Mr B ? Nows the time to plan & see if there is any interest.

Just back from a few days off-roading in Andaluccia. Planned on 3 days but fell off on the second day and put myself out of action. Great riding, loose and dusty and full-on days out. Stunning part of the world, hope the pics do it justice:-

That looks like a good place to go Cruddles.

Have been thinking about a foreign trip myself to go off roading.

Was also thinking about one of those enduro training days, have you tried one ?

Hi OT - forgot compliment your pictures in my original post, some great shots! Looks like a fun day out and some lovely country.

It was a great place to go and the guy that runs it is a top bloke. Check it out here Home - Off road trail tours in Spain. Trail bike and enduro holidays
He's just changed from a fleet of DRZ's to the KTM's, the KTM's are very light & trick but I actually prefer the DRZ's! They're a bit more docile and forgiving which for I rider of my limited talent is a big plus!

My only previous experience of off-roading was a weekend with Trail Rides Wales - dirty days riding trails! Malcolm is a seriously accomplished rider and a good teacher. He used to work for the Yamaha Enduro School so I'm sure that he can coach to whatever level is required. The advantage with him is that you can use your own bike and save a fortune! Seriously, if you fancy some training, give the guy a call - he gave me a really sound start for off-roading.

Thanks Felix, I will do some more digging with those.

There seems to be all sorts of ways of spending money on things like this now, its getting a bit competitive.

When I was a lad, you just went out with your mates & had a laff.

Aye OT that's how I learned my very limited knowledge but it did enthuse me to go further.

Alas it lead me down the MX racing path until my will to be super human fit ailed.

Still love the buzz though but you know unless your willing to compete in mx or enduros up here it's the road to nowhere.

Enjoy yer green lanes muckers and fight like fook to stop those whose mission would deprive you of them, believe me it's not so much fun if your cloak and dagger.

It must be a pisser havin to look over your shoulder all the time A...

When im fit again.... how about having a jaunt around yorkshire... OT can show us the ropes...... and your welcome to crash here.....
