OK - so mine came with gold ones ...
I'm sure gold ins lovely but I can't get on with it ...

What is the best source - preferably cost effective?
ebay just seems to bring up Oberon stuff at 20 quid a pop ... is that the going rate?

Yep,the genuine Brembo caps are around £20 for the brake and £12 for the clutch.




A rattle can of black paint would be cheaper.
 
Ok - I need to replace the gold covers!!
I have tried a rattle can / hammerrite - but it will not stick to the anodising

Can anyone point me in the direction of anyone selling these items ...
I know there is a link to a seller in the US - but anyone doing them in the UK?
 
I am in the same boat. Gold caps are just too bright/bling for me. So I will watch this thread to see what you unearth.

I changed the levers back to full length ones too.

there is a chemical method of removing the anodising to leave the surface bare . search the interweb for " anodising removal " --- there used to be a how to on www. oldskool suzuki.info forum . but sadly it is no more and has ceased to exist
from what i remember reading of the process its quite simple with the correct chemicals !
or a quick dunk in sulphuric acid would do the trick too !!
 
Are the Gold caps std ... or aftermarket tat?

Re the anodising - sure , I can pend hours removing it. But once you factor in time , it will be cheaper to buy!
 
Leave them to soak in vinegar overnight.
The anodise is as thin as buggery...it'll soon come off, or darken down colour wise.

If you don't like 'em...you have nothing to lose. :)

Yeah,but shipping to the UK can be pricey,........and then you might get dicked for import duty.:bawling

Unless,someone in the 'States can send them as a 'gift'.;)
 
They are! Comes with mounting brackets , billet in several colors. Check out pj's parts. Rizoma is some sweet Italian parts!
