I'm fitting my new exhaust tomorrow and going out for a ride.

Got out today ,had to work so only got out at 3.30pm the T now has a mega mileage of 48 that is an extra 35 on the last total,The T has a good trick when I called in at Thunderroad Cwmbran the neutal light was shining like a goodun but when the sidestand went down it decided that it wanted to be in first gear CLUNK STALL. Still came back with HUGE grin on my chops..Still can't get over the handling .I now know it will allways be faster than i am.Don't think I can ride with the rest of you guys & evelin, untill it is run in & I learn to think faster ,but I will meet up at Aber bus station for tea, I don't want to slow the rest of you down if we went on a ride together,

Tricky - if we all hook up and go for a ride it isn't a race - we all ride at the pace that suits us. There's plenty of places to regroup anyway so it's no problem having people riding at different speeds. I like to think I'm a reasonably quick road rider, but I'm under no illusions that there's plenty faster than me.

These days I have a wife and two young daugters to come home to, so while I like to push the bike and myself, getting home alive comes way before any heroics.

We all ride one of the best bikes out there, doesn't matter how fast we ride it as long as we get the buzz and come home with a big ****-off grin on our faces :thumbup

Cheers Gilo, in that case count me in as long as the roads are dry. I think that as it has been the first time I have ridden the Aprilia & the last time i had ridden anything since October (CB1300) I thought that as I was riding like a noob today I would still be this crap if i rode with a group. Faith restored fella, Thanks. Even at 6000 RPM I've got that big ****-off grin:thumbup:thumbup

Well the new exhaust sounds good. Baffle out and it sounds just right. Not too loud but enough to make people look. Or maybe that's just my crap riding. Funny though as I've not cast a leg over the old bike for a while hadn't lost any confidence. Bike seems to be faster with the new exhaust on. Not sure whether it's my imagination. Didn't ride far. From the house to Aber bus station. All of a 2 min ride away. Stopped for a coffee. Went for A quick blast up the dual carriageway through Aber town past my house on the old Hereford road and back down the Hereford road to hardwick roundabout and back through town. Must have done all Of about 10 miles. And next weekend I've remembered I've got a bloody 4 yr olds birthday party in Bicester and have to leave on friday tonspend whole weekend down there. Will post pic of exhaust when I figure out how to from this phone

Bay:thumbup
tricky..............jesus man dont ever worry bout riding with me im a compleat girl lol but as others have said just ride how you feel you want to, if im with faster riders" quite alot" you all just wait at junction gather up and off you go, no big deal, nobody gets left behind, no pressure....bikes are for making you smile not stressed out oooh i cant keepup bollox!!!! i cant wait to go to wales next whooooooooooo

ah think maist o us oan here are all at a stage in our bikin lives tae ken when tae blast off or when tae jist toodle on. There wiz a day when younger it was all too easy tae get pulled intae ridin beyond yer capabilities. Am def nae the slowest oot there but am also certain will nivir be the fastest either. Rackin up the years an long experience maks ye look at things anither way.
An group runs is all aboot short legs, stop, regroup, hae a giggle, that wye everybodies the same!

Ye can stiil be quick wi oot twistin the neck aff it!

Theres nothing wrong with a bit of off road ploughing.
I intend keeping it a bit cleaner from now on. Usually just stick ACF 50 all over it but have started to clean it a bit more now as easier to keep those wheels under hand if done more often.
