I have an 06 RSV Factory which already has Akraprovic exhausts.

I've got my eyes on some shorty levers but apart from that I've not a clue where to start....

Any suggestions and good places to order them from would be great!

Thanks!

Hi Deano, depends on how far you want to go and how deep your pockets are, cheap easy mods first, drop a cog on front sprocket and possibly plus a couple on rear, makes it more lively and easier around town as the standard gearing for me is too tall, a 180 rear tire makes a n much quicker turn in and changes the handling of the bike, set the suspension up to your height and weight, dropping the front forks through the yokes a couple of rings again makes for sharp quick turn ins, quick action throttle, re locate rear brake away from engine as it boils and blackens in No time, rearsets ap performance ones are sweet and re locate rear brake cylinder also ,uprated airfilter..ie k and n or such, orGo the whole hog and get a hooked style airbox which sounds awesome under power and also adds a few horses , skint yet?....quickshifter for clutchless up shifts, power commander, make sure your bike is on the correct ecu map for the exhausts ,change master clutch cylinder to an aftermarket such as oberon I think it is, makes changing gear and finding the pig that is neutral so much easier, i sure there is so much I've forgotten there but it's a start....happy modding .Ps black and gold best colour and fastest

still thinking to mod my rectifier to compu-fire or ce605 or shindengen SH775.. as there's some 1 said shindengen SH775 already failed to prevent the stator from cooked..

Beermart has summed it up perfectly. And above all, use your friendly guys at Aprilia performance in Tamworth. Top lads, too service [emoji41]

The only thing I did on the left, gear change side, was to replace the original heel plate with the heel plate from a RSV4, just to match the brake lever side. Everything else on the gear change side is standard RSV.

ok. My plan is to buy reverse shifter for aprilia rsv1000r model..

So I've been playing with the bike and started throwing a few mods on to it! I've set the suspension up with the help of some far more experienced than myself, they also suggested a 180 rear section or go for a 190/55 rather than the 50. I've installed a piper cross air filter, new discs and brake pads for the front, I'm looking for rearsets before I play with the rear.... But my favourite mod by far, was probably the cheapest and easiest to instal, was some stomp grip tank pads! I'd recommend it to anyone!

Oh and one more thing which was more hard work than it was anything else.... I took pretty much every nut and bolt off from the fairings, cleaned them up, gave them to a mate that sprays cars and aircraft to spray them black and refitted them. It's amazing how much cleaner the bike looks.

I think I might leave the big bore kit till later on!!
