Looking at replacing my standard pipe on the rsv 03. I would love to go the twin rout but that will have to wait for next year. I got a Beowulf can with the bike and even with the baffle in its a bit two loud for where I live.. Im after a silencer that's not too loud on tick over so as to not wake the neighbours in the morning but opens up further up the rev range. Main reason for changing the standard is to remove some weight from the rear rather than the hunt for noise
any suggestions ?

Dont buy one of those short stubby moto gp sytle cans i bought a delkevic short can and OMFG was it loud i couldnt start it in my garage as it would hurt my ears trust me, i even bought a baffle direct from Delkevic but that made little or no difference tbh used to pop some nice flames and bang a bit though,
I swapped it for a standard Delkevic in the end with a removable baffle which i think sounds pretty good not too loud but loud enough for the cars to hear you coming. Ill try get a pic uploaded.

Also, as no one has mentioned yet, the delkevic is a nice exhaust, however the carbon fiber one is crap. I went through three, two were warranty replacements because the carbon keeps breaking apart. Not sure if the heat is the culprit or not, but I'm looking for a new exhaust as well. Love the carbon tri oval sound though.

Don't go carbon on a single can mille the pulses kill carbon

Mille's like a longer can anyway so short stubbies not ideal

As it was cheap and came with some other bits I wanted, I fitted a stubby A16 Can
Had to fit a baffle as it started car alarms from within the garage with the door down.
Took it for MOT last week - first thing tester said was"Hmm..that sounds good!!
