So I spent whole of sunday removing fluids (oil and coolant), and taking parts off for fitting of Samco Hose kit (APR1) for my 2003 RSV
Came unstuck and guys at racebikebitz said no-one had this problem before.
They supplied 10 hoses, I need 13!
The complication came around the hoses from Right radiator back up to 3 way (actually four) manifold
Hoses with red blotches not in kit - anyone else had this issue.
Search shows Samco hoses discussed a few times but no one mentions any problems.

There is only ten hoses in the kits for the rsv 98-03, this is a daft question but you are only fitting them to the coolant side arent you, and not the oil side aswell?

Not a daft question but only replaced coolant hoses - one by one as I took them off.
Oil pipes stlll in place for replacement later in the servicing.

Left with two hoses that don't fit any where (TB2110 and TB2112), plus five hoes marked in red splodge on the image that were not in the kit.
The coolant system on mine actually has 13 hoses as shown in the image

It turns out one of the hoses was an oil pipe (in a coolant kit!) for oil tank to engine feed in front of oil filter - Samco hose interiors are blue for coolant and black for oil
The other remaining pipe (TB2110) has no home other than the return facility to Samco
Which leaves me short of the two short straight pipes from 3 way manifoild to front and rear cylinder heads
and the 3 piece return hose that runs from same manifold to and from the T-piece on top of right radiator (as marked in red splodge on the image in original post)

All back together and had a shake down ride to check out the effect of all the new goodies and the fettling.
Result: a nice growlie beastie. Will need to warm up a bit to see what happens at the busy end!

Hours spent in the music room with wet and dry, touch up paint, lacquer and rubbing compound brought the lower fairing up a treat
- not sure about the gold rad covers, may get them anodized a different hue but modded collector is a higher priority
