Hello,
Am seeing some really nice looking body work on eBay from Hong Kong. The graphics in the photos look very cool. The price is damn low as well. Anybody have any real-life experience with these after-market plastics? Namely curious about the fit and finish. I know the old proverb - if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

Thanks.

Hi,
I've just fitted a Chinese kit to my track bike. Finish is very good (for race items), few small niggles on fitting but nothing a drill & bit couldn't sort. Paint is excellent, and they sprayed it to my design as a one off. Obviously the quality is not as good as OEM, but it's not far off.

Overall, I'm very pleased. Great communications, sorted a small **** up immediately.
PM me if you want there contact details.

Wow! The body work and graphics of the aftermarket Chinese fairings looks very good! Given the price, i am impressed. Thank you for the photos and your write-up. A set of these for trackdays will do very nicely.

Theres nobody better than the Chinese to replicate things, I've bought stuff in the past that are copies and never had any problems :)

Thanks for the comments chaps, I'm pretty pleased with them lets hope they stay in one piece this season!

The Chinese company I used is Neverland, http://www.neverland-motor.com/fairings/aprilias-motorcycle-abs-fairing-kit.html

They can do whatever design you want, all I did was specify the race bodywork (no light holes) and sent them a link to the 2012 SBK team launch pictures. Was around £390 delivered. One or two hiccups (like forgetting to open up the air intake...) but generally very good to deal with and the detailing is excellent.

Direct email is Sunny (a lady) at [email protected]

Seems to be a lot of interest in these plastics. Has anyone any idea of whether we could do a group buy of 2, 3, 4 or more sets? Should save a packet on shipping.
Anyone interested?

how did you get on with possibly having to pay import tax?

Customs for whatever reason didn't pick up on it. Not unusual from what I can gather, quite rare they take the effort to charge, Sunny mentioned none of her UK customers had been charged so far.

Group deal, to be honest I wouldn't think they'd offer a significant saving. For example I told them I wouldn't need a few of the infills but they wouldn't discount any more as their margins are pretty tight. I'd say their shipping costs are not huge, and any saving would be offset by the incremental size of the packaging and the likelihood Customs would pick up on a commercial shipment. Logistically it'd be difficult too unless all buyers wanted to collect from a central location.

Have a look at Parts4bike. They are out of Hong Kong. Looks like their stuff is pretty good. They have some really sweet graphics for the RSVs. Their eBay rating is also decent. This is the stuff that caught my eye and prompted me to start this thread. I'll have to check out Neverland.

Got a bit of a cosmetic rebuild to do after an off at Snetterton so I am interested in new plactics. Give us a shout if you put an order together. Am in Bristol

Hi Paul,

I couldn't find any aftermarket for 2008 rsv. Most of them are 04-06. What year was your bike?

Thanks
Don

Hey Paul,

That Biaggi replica looks amazing!

I thought so, 2-piece side fairings on 06/08, and single piece on 04/05. That great news if the mounts are the same, am gonna hook a set and post it here when it's ready.

Thanks buddy!

Hey guys. I haven't been on here in awhile but I saw this thread and figured I would throw up a pic of my "chinese ebay kit". It took a little work to get it on. I had to alter a few things to make it fit right, and even then it was VERY tight in some spots and eventually parts of it ended up with stress fractures, and my left headlight mounting posts snapped so it's rigged up in there with a piece of coat hanger until I receive my Jester body kit. The rear belly section also melted on the dyno last year. I also had to purchase the screen to fill all of the air ducts while the OEM fairings have those plastic inserts. All in all it's lasted me about 2 years and the paint job is perfect. Can't complain for the price, but it's time to retire the kit. I would not buy one again from this vendor.

Hi Guys,

The fairings look great! i dropped my bike at around 20MPH..... seriously don't ask. It's caused no end of damage and there's only one side panel and belly pan that can be repaired. Having priced up the back fairing and nose it's coming in at a ridiculous £800. With the cost of repair and respray the fix the bikes body work and then with other bits and pieces I'm looking at a cost of over £2k.

I was reading this post after and though i would research replacement fairing kits from China as they seem to be a much cheaper way of fixing the bike. I have found DHGate and had some conversations with him but i don't know anything about this company and can't seem to find many reviews either on. Have anybody had any experience with DHGate?

You guys seem to be happy with what you have had from Neverland so i will contact them also. Do you know if the lugs in the nose fairing come with the threads to screw the headlights and secure the fairing or do we need to take these out of the original fairing?

DHGate is just a distributer. They get the same kits that are on ebay listed by vendors of multiple names, but they all come from the same place. My nose did not include any lugs. Just plastic posts with holes for a self tapping screw. Two of three posts broke on my left headlight, one of which happened during the installation of the screw.

What year/color is your bike? I have a spare back fairing I could part with.

Its the 2007 model where the side fairings are split. Colour is black with the red lower fairing and red wheels. The rear panel is black with the RSV decal.
