My honest answer will be an 04 onwards rsv factory. My 2000 rsvr has done me proud, gotta stay with a twin, rc8 out my price range and dukes cost too much to maintain.

Well its a buyers market out there at the moment :)

I think its the KTM superduke for me , however that new Ducati streetfighter is class

you can get Rc8s for under 7k now new shape tuonos for under 4k & superduke Rs for 7k the prices are just incredible im finding it hard to resist at the moment no good i guess if your selling though :(

oh well im going to be good and wait for the january sales

I took a 675 for a test ride and was really surprised how much I liked it...but still prefer my 05 which I got instead. Maybe you get more piece of mind with the 675, but the rsv is awesome and seems like amazing value for money!

don't know what I would get next (like you Tim I don't have one of those pots either ;) ) If money was no issue then an MV F4 312.

I've said this before I think: I have test ridden both the RC8 and the 848, the KTM was by far the worst bike I've ever ridden (ergonomics, fueling general confidence in riding was sorely lacking) whilst the 848 was the best bike I've ridden (period) the ergonomics were incredible (but I could see the race position could eventually be uncomfortable as a commuter) and the engine was so easy to get a lot out of it (revs up nicely too :pirate ). If I could have one I'd take it in a heartbeat.

Deacs :thumbup

Now this is a tough one.

I like rsv4 but I'm 6'3" and the v4 is gonna be a bit small I think plus as previously mentioned is a four cyl. Do they fire 2 cyls at the same time so it sounds like a twin? If so the 4 cyl bit wouldn't bother me. I'd have to wait for the prices to come down though, a lot.

I reckon I'd have a duc as well or an rc8 they both look awesome. The duc would be my first choice though. I like the 675 and I'd love to get one for my mrs then I could ride it.

Seemed to work well for Camier :dunno
I'm keeping my Rsvr but looking to trade my 1000 Fazer for a Tuono Factory:devious

It would have to be RC8 for me. It's the only sportbike remotely comfortable enough for riding any period of time

Well this is the dilemma i have now, i got the payout for my bike, but am gonna wait till crimbo/new year as i reckon the prices will fall even more yet, plus i wont be able to ride till spring at the earliest.

I loved my 2000 bike, but found it always felt ever so slightly too tall for me, so have decided that iwill replace it with a 2005/2006 model, although i wont go for a factory as they are more fragile if my memory serves me right, fork seals etc.

I might be also be tempted by a new shape tuono though, as i am not sure how my body will cope with a race bike stance.

Only other down side with getting a newer shape will be getting rid of my spares i bought for my old model, which i will offer on here first, before they go the ebay route. :thumbsup

Tim, pm me your postal addy, so i can return your sprocket dude :biggrin

Don't the '04 onwards have Ohlins forks on the standard model aswell????
So what is it with some people, ohh don't get ohlins because they leak all the time, done 30,000 miles on mine & had no probs until either ware & tare on the pinch bolts or my own handy work(thats why 1 leg cracked),never had a seal go.Always ohlins not pig iron...:dunno
