Not far from you!
Hi all

Would someone who owns a abba stand and has the fitting kit for a Aprilia Rsv 02 onwards be kind enough to messure it for me and tell me the dimentions. The over all lenght and the diameters of each would be perfect!

They charge about £10 upwards for these kits when they cost only as few pound to manufacture :dowhat

Im trying to save pennies where ever i can and will machine some up at work from stainless steel. My money is better spent else where like on one of hooked's performance airbox kits :devious

Thanks in advance :thumbup

I made mine at work, you'll have to excuse the dodgy drawing :biggrin hope this helps :thumbup

Cheers Sprocker mate very helpful, you also a machinist?

Do you know if these dimentions fit my 04 rsv, the years vary slightly i think. Are these dimentions for both sides of the bike?

I havent brought the stand yet but hope to buy one over the next few weeks just wanted to get ahead of myself and get some turned up this week ready :biggrin

Aint no machinist but i can use a lathe, all i did was measure the internal dimensions of the abba holder and the bike swingarm pivot holes and made to suit :thumbup overall length is 40mm which i never indicated on the drawing..

Hi Guys,

I'm pretty new here and been thinking seriously about getting an abba stand. Are they good?
They are expensive so is it worth it?
I presume it is easier to get on a stand single handed rather than the paddock hooks.

UKC-B are you able to knock up any aditional sets at cost for well deserving newbies?

Cheers guys look forward to feedback good or bad for the Abba stand.

TT

ABBA stand is fantastic and dead easy to use TTruckie :thumbup I've only used a paddock stand a couple of times but nearly dropped the bike  but i suppose it's what you get used to using. Guys who use paddocks will probably swear by them :dunno Paddock stands are probably quicker to use but with the ABBA you can remove the rear wheel to work on without it getting in the way.

pm Hooked as he's got a mate who can make you one (ABBA stand) much cheaper :devious

Yep abba stands are fantastic TT, ive always used a normal paddock stand in the past and its a real pain as you have to get someone to help you get the bike up on it. Abba stand's are a one man effort.

They are of course a little more expensive but bearing in mind you can also work on the front (once proped up) as well as the rear they well worth every penny.

Get one and enjoy it, i hope to have mine in a couple of weeks :thumbup
