Although I have only been here a short while on this Forum , it has helped me immensely to get my 2006 Tuono from basket case to up and running, sorting the stepper motor fault after reading thread on how to dismantle and re grease , same with the M A P fault finding the small pipe off the throttle bodies blocked upgrading to a bigger battery and a Yamaha start solenoid so now it spins over nicely and starts straight away , I was so wrapped I took it out today in the snow , its a bit lumpy but it is my first twin cylinder 4 stroke since a Honda CB 250 G5 (what a crock "o" ***** as I recall ) anyway hes to better days and warmer tarmac , cheers Mark R

Well done on the recovery! Get the throttle bodies balanced and it'll run throbbingly smooth:thumbup

ah Thanks Paul < I see that's why at tick over it does not quite seem to be even, one Cylinder seems a bit stronger than the other giving it an uneven tick over but the Tacko does not fluctuate I can just hear and feel it so I assume its not a Zillion miles out will have to look into this Cheers once more,
 
Had my Gen1 throttle bodies set up properly recently at last service. Didn't notice any unevenness before hand at tickover, but starting could be a bit tricky. But afterwards starting has never been a problem and more so, it just seems to run through the rev range much smoother. The service agent showed me the old plugs... one pair was much sootier showing it was running rich, hence uneven, compared to the other leaner pair (2 plugs per cycling on Gen 1).
