Hi just started to service my tuono and grease the bearings in the dog bones 1st question how do you undo the screw at the engine side the exhaust down pipe is in the way or do you have to take that of as well, 2nd question do you need a special tool to do the shims :dunno:dunno
It's a bit tricky getting your hand in to check your tyre pressure or even chuck some air in but on my mates bike,I have just seen valves that come out at a 90° angle!!! What a cracking idea.
Has anyone else got them fitted to their bikes?

Commenced my first home service of the mille firstly it was surprisingly easy plugs oil and filters just got to put body work back on! 2 hours work tops!
Only question was, I'm a curious little fellow so I opened the butterfly's in the TBs an noticed a fair amount of ***** on top if the valves...

Has anyone here done their own valve clearance checking for the 12,500 mile service? Any tips or things to look out for?
Also how easy is it to get hold of the right shims, if they needed replacing?

Urmmm...I m looking at the engine workshop manual, and I dont see a nice section entitled "Checking valve clearances"....Index is pretty unhelpful also !
Can anyone point me at the info I seek ? Im probably just being stoopid, page number chapter and verse, that's what I need ! :confused

i have notice to my bike after the last oil change the motor heats a lots usal the temp was around 67-68C now its usal to 77-78C should i worry?(the oil level looks good)
and i have some missfire when i close the throttle i open the air box and found a lit bit of oil inside.
and...
1. does any one know what thread size the valves are ?
2. do they have to be the metal nut type:dunno or can you put just the rubber 90 degree push in type as i have read that these can be better

been talking to a few folk now and asked them about checking valve clearence at the correct mile's.

These mounted and tyres changed at the same time.
The problem is that fwd is leaking from the mounting at the rim.
Are these any good with OZ wheel or did I just had bad luck or sloppy...
