Hi, Can i just install a genuine 15 tooth sprocket without having to change anything else, or do i need a diff chain.

Hi all, I have a 2003 tuono and have just ordered a15 tooth front sprocket after reading some of the posts on the forum. Is the bolt a standard anticlockwise to open or reverse thread. I'm asking this as someone who's had similar issues in the past, :bawling

G'day Caponuts, I have just had a 16 tooth front sprocket fitted and can report that 3rd gear is now useable at 60k/hr 3,600rpm (lying speedo says 65k/hr). 1st gear is happy on roundabouts/slow traffic without pulling the clutch in, and 6th gear can be used at 100k/hr (4,200rpm...lying speedo...

Ive got a 14 abs and even though aprilia said they shortened the gearing , i still think it was a bit long ... well after reading a couple of you had done it , i chucked on a 15 tooth front sprocket earlier , didnt bother with going 2 up on the back like i did with my Gen II .... wot can i say...

Hi all I have a 07 Tuono was told i can put a 15 tooth front sprocket on ? That will give me better take off & not so much top end ? Can you help by telling me what one you are running & if the 15 is better ? Thanks

got around to fitting the 15 t front sprocket that came with my '10 factory 1000r today.It was under the seat with the "fool kit"Feels like a new bike ,now I can ride slowly down my street without all that jerking around in the lower gears.

Meh, this will have been discussed a million times already but ive just swapped my 17t with a 16t on the advice of this very forum. I am extremely happy with the results, If you havent done this already and want crazy acceleration, do it!

i have just got the 15 tooth front sprocket i was advised to get by you guys here on T. i am now wondering how much top end speed i will lose, and will this bring on a quicker gear change? if so how drastic will it be. got to wait till the weekend to find out for myself

does having a 15 tooth fron sprocket affect the accuracy of the speedo ?

Where can I get a 44 tooth rear sprocket, just fitted new set with 16 at the front but want to lower the gearing more.

Anyone got a 16 tooth 525 pitch front sprocket laying around that's in good condition or better? Fitment for a 2001 Mille please? I believe the Renthal part number is 407-525-16 but any make will suffice for my purpose.
