spluttering

Out on sunday and and a few occasions it sputtered abit between 4-6 after was normal and fine. I have 06 factory with mivv gp cans on and not sure of what map its on. Anyone have any ideas? and i have been running the higher octane fuel recently could that have anything do do with it. cheers Tom.
