residue??????

Changed oil and plugs on my bike yestreday, and the manual says : "remove the metal residues from drain plug magnet". I found some metal shavings on the drain plug magnet and was wondering if this is normal?? Just how much metal residue is acceptable to have in the oil?:dunno:confused took...
