I hope someone can help
I have just bought a 2002 Mille gen 2 and thought I would do the right thing and fit an Oxford oximiser to keep my battery nice and topped up all winter.
I followed the instructions posted on another thread about removing the key first, negative then positive removed...
I want to fit an optimate lead to my 2002 mille. The bike is fitted with a Meta alarm and immobilizer 357tv2. Will I cause any problems if I disconnect the battery to fit the lead? The alarm is in sleep mode at the moment. Thanks in advance for the help guys.
Over the last 4 years I have used my optimate in the following way. Basically every 2 weeks I switch it on until I get two greens then I switch it off.
The last time ie start of this season the battery was fecked and I had all manner of snags restarting and fun with the Meta alarm.
Should I...
Hi, Has anyone had problems with an optimate frying there batery when left on long term? Batteries never seemed to last long in my Duke, just assumed it was the bike taken alot ot of the battery but same has happened in my mille when left on optimate.
For my T2 I have bought a fused socket with about 1m of cable. This will hopefully allow me to plug in sat nav (yeah ok I can't ride and read a feckin map ok?! Shhhhhes ... GIMME A BREAK ALREADY) when riding ... and plug the optimate when back in beddy bos
Do any of you fine fellows have...
Unusual, this. The connector has come off my optimate lead. I can still connect it to the bike but does it matter which femail connector goes to which male connector - I guess it does. Is it possible to test with a multi meter for which is posative and which is negative?:dowhat
I have an Optimate.
I also have a shagged battery :pirate
Optimate says its fine, green light but barely enough power to turn the motor over.
Dont believe your optimate, youll know when youve got a shagged battery :exclamation
Well, time for me to get a new one :burnout
hi guys, just a quick question about optimate chargers. ive got the rsv hybernating over winter and have put it on the optimate charger, only thing is that the only electric supply i have to my garage only comes on during the night (bit of sneaky wiring connected to the outside lights!) :devious...
Sorry, couple of quick questions about the optimate-just want to make sure of a few things before going away for a while with work. Going to be leaving it at my dads place, have had no previous signs of a week battery (even after a week of not using), but thought it might be a good idea to get...
Apolologies in advance if this question has been asked in previously.
I have recently bought a 2005 RSV 1000R. I have been advised to get an Optimate, which I have done.
My question relates to how often should I connect the bike up to it?
IE. Should it be if I know I won't be using the bike for...
Optimate 3 for sale with the relevant wires needed. These are a proper plug that connects to your battery and a set of crocodile clips incase you want to take the battery out or maybe even put it on your car or something.
The images are similar to below but its not boxed. Get your battery up to...
now i can just leave this on my bike....................
dont have to go in and reset it daily by switching it off and back on do i?
stupid question but with snow arriving i think it might be a while till she goes back out :angry:rant:dowhat:exclamation
:dunno
Hi all, belated Happy New Year etc.
Basically I'm riding my RSV about once a fortnight and doing 50 miles at most so I've purchased an optimate IIIsp (£35 which wasn't too bad I thought) to see the beast through the winter. However the problem is that it lives outside and I can't leave it on...
One battery optimate from Hein Gericke, it s a proper Optimate re-branded by Hein gericke.
It does what it says on the tin, keeps you battery in tip top condtion, a must if you own a RSV, comes with all all nessecsary leads, attachments. Cost me £49.99 approx 18 months ago
Yours for £25.00...
I have just bought an optimate 4 from mdsbattery.com. It has been on my bike 24 hours now and all it has done is flash yellow, and occasionally go onto a solid yellow light to briefly indicate charging. It has never given any indication to the condition of the battery on the top 3 lights.
Is...
This steaming turd of an optimate is a load of toss so dont waste you money guys. :roll

The thing turned up with a broken fuse and for some reason wont maintain the battery but instead keeps it as a level where the clocks dont...
Hi,
I need an optimate and found that they are cheaper in Germany.
As I will be in Hamburg in May, can anyone advise me a store where I can buy one? I wouldn't mind to save the e-bay delievery costs they want to charge if I buy one by e-bay :-)
