anyone know what the rev limit sould be set to mines at 10000 is this ok

Hi guys, I can set the limiter to 12k, is this normal and OK for the engine? I'm aware that peak power and torque have been passed by this rev range, but on track sometimes being able to hold a gear for longer is advantageous. I think in my manual it says not to set higher than 11500, so...

Hey guys, I've just taken the bike out for a spin. No, I set the shift light to around 10k, but it seems that the actual physical limit is also around there as i keep hitting it. It winds round to 12, but can someone let me know where the actual limit is so i can stop hitting it! Ta, Anton

Can any one give me any ideas? Coming to work this morning the bike wouldn't rev over 4500rpm. All was well for the first 10 mile then it started. It runs lovely upto 4500 and then starts acting like its hit the rev limiter and the EFI light is on all the time. I carried on the other 50 mile...
