issues??

Daft enough to run out of fuel now 04 factory wont start even with a fresh tank of fuel.Turns over fine but no signs of firing.Any tips where to start?

Hi All, Looking for some input on a possible aquisition. I have my eye on an '08 but I'm new to the bike. Wondering if there are any issues I should look out for aside from the obvious when buying used. Bike has 5400 miles and is clean and mint...looking from pics that is. Tires look like track...
