glue

Pretty straight forward but the "ears" of the seat. Should i glue those to make them look neat? Any one done this - please help me out...

I'll be getting my airbox ring from ironbite in the next few days, so I've removed the sound insulation from the underside of the tank but the glue is a bugger to remove. Whats your secret? I was planning to buy the Renegade kit, but at £200 it seemed a bit expensive.
