gearing..

Was just thinking about mods... and obvioulsy loosing a tooth (not me) is a very cheap and effective one, I do enjoy having legs on my bike on the open road (not that I ever go past 70 :P) but how much does it effect your top end? as I go riding with a r1, blade and a gixer 750...
