farings

Has anyone removed the plastic/carbon farings from the sides around the radiator,or do they aid in cooling and air management? Love to see what it would like. 2010 Factory kd

Are all these pieses of carbon fiber and plastic really needed,do they aid with cooling or air management?I would like to remove them from the radiatior for a cleaner look.
