caps!

hi all. does anyone no how to take the fork caps apart to change the seal on a 2000 rsvr? leaking from preload adjuster! ohlins say you need a tool to do it but if i new what tool i needed i can machine something up to do the job but they want tell me a thing even having just brought me oil...
