battery??

Hi, I have just put a new battery in my 2006 tuono, When I start it, it is idling at over 4000 revs, I left it running for a while to see if the revs drop but it doesnt. This is the first time it has been running since the summer. Any help would be much apreciated. Cheers John.

Evening all, Its come to that time that my battery is starting to show signs of giving up the game. I was just after any advice on any recomended batteries and if an upgraded option is available and worth the money? Cheers in advance for any responce.:thumbup
