advice??

I've not long had the bike... minter '04 RSVR , super low miles (6K)... clutch works fine but neutral is a pain in the arse to get at the traffic lights!? is this just an aprilia thing or what!? i've had bikes that have been tricky to get neutral before but nothing like this... any words of...
