Yorkshire and North East ride out??

I've seen a couple of threads now with Yorkshire and North East lads trying to meet up and go for a scratch. I know I'm new to the forum and dont want to step on anyones toes, but does anyone agree that we should arrange a meet for all of us to get together, there are some cracking roads in our area close enough for us all to get to and arrange a meeting point. Like I said I dont want to step on peoples toes but does the last Saturday or Sunday of the month sound good 31/05/08 or 01/06/08, if you think it's a good idea pse post and we can try to sort something out :thumbup.
 
Your not stepping on anyones toes mate :confused your a member on this forum and have as much rights as anyone to organise anything you want to, doesn't matter how long you've been a member :thumbup

Would be good for us lot to get together, unfortunately those dates you chose i'm on nights Sat/Sun/Monday :rant
 
It doesn't look like there are many people responding anyway Sprocker but saying that most people are at work. Congrats on the ROTM by the way mate nice ride, I was going to suggest this bank holiday monday but I thought most people would be spending it with families??

:thumbup would be good...but I'm up in Sunny Scotland over that weekend (on the Factory)....
don't see why we couldn't get it sorted tho...:biggrin
 
I will be up at Teesdale (Thirsk) on the Saturday if all is well on the clutch pulling front.
 
In Leeds here, would have a ride somewhere, usually have my lad on the back..Free anytime really. weekends..(The joys of being divorced)
 
I’m up for a play out most times with a bit of planning:thumbup
All we seem to do is chase the kids about beavers, cubs, swimming 3 times a week, gymnastics and on Sunday’s the young lad goes mini moto racing.
Feck, bloody kids, aren’t they great:inlove
 
Ok then fellas how about this Bank Holiday Monday, weather permitting.
Timmings tbc depending on majority decision I prefer earlier rather than later, about 10.00hrs??
Meeting place and route, plan:
Rippon Town Squar, head to Leyburn, Hawes, backroads towards Warcop via Sedbergh (poor spelling I know), a66 and then up to Hartside and come backdown towards Durham etc.. This way those in the NE dont have to come all the way South to go back North. Also those that want can head back to down towards Hawes they way they've just come instead of going any further North.

Mate never give up, we have all encountered this problem, when us southerners started our rideouts it was hard to arrange, mainly due to the distance we all live apart from each other, we all have family to keep sweet and work to contend with, what we did was find a place central to everyone, (we all ride about 50 odd miles to this point) do a rideout to wherever and then we ride back to the initial meeting point and go our seperate ways, we also tend to do friday nights as it leave the weekend for the family, dont despair mate or take it personnel, just keep postin rideouts and before ya know it you will have a rideout :thumbup:thumbup:thumbup
 
Like Little1 says, we need to find a central meeting place and go from there.
One of the problems with Yorkshire is the size and most of the best roads are in the North :doug lucky me:doug From the start of June i will be back riding and will be up for plenty of ride outs :thumbup

Why give up mate :dunno CK doesn't bite you know :biggrin even if there's only the two of you this time it's still a ride out after all... If i wasn't working i'd have been there :thumbup
 
Cheers for the encouragement fellas, I actually found out after I'd posted last night I now have to work the Bank Holiday anyway, I'm in the Army posted at Catterick and it's a really busy time at the moment, so as it happens it is lucky evrybody is busy anyway:eek:. Me and Bear are going away from the 1st till the 22nd of June so I'm now trying to sort out a date after that. Does anyone have any ideas about a meeting point:dunno, I live up in Newcastle but dont mind coming down to Rippon, is that ok with everyone else, I say Rippon as there are some cracking roads from there over to Leyburn, Hawes etc. What does everyone think? At least if we can all agree on a meet point then sort out dates, I know that me and Bear are on about going next Thursday (29th May) before we go away. I really would like to meet up and have a good ride out before us two mave to Germany, and Carbon I didn't want you to think I was fobbing you off mate, it was nothing of the sort. Come on fellas lets sort it out, if the shandy drinking southerners can do it I'm sure we can (joke to all those that live further South than Sheffield lol)

Dave matey, nae wories, always up fer a ride out in yer neck of the woods, just post up the next time you fancy a ride out, I'm sure we can get a few peeps together, mebbe a sunday/sat early brekkie run?
