Hi All,
I noticed a few others from Australia have also recently introduced themselves so I thought I should do the same.

I have a 2006 Tuono which I bought as a second bike. However just recently I hit a Kangaroo on a road trip on my other bike", so it's gone to bike heaven. This now means my Tuono is now my everything bike. I must say that the more I ride it, the better I like it. I just have to get the suspension sorted and then I'm sure it will be the bike I'm hoping it will be.

So ya been lurking for a couple of months, eh? Welcome. Sorry to hear about your old bike but sounds like you came out okay, which is good to hear.

Welcome! Glad to hear your enjoying the Tuono experience (Is that a late registered Gen 1 or a Gen 2. Look forward to the prerequisite pic when you get a mo!), and survived the Kangaroo strike!
I copped a pigeon smack in the chest (sternum) at 40mph the other week. Felt like someone had thrown a basket ball at me! Had to twist sideways to release it! Glad it wasn't a kangaroo though!

Sorry, probably should have given a bit more info. I have a Gen 2 2006 Model. Initially it had a few issues I had to sort out, mostly electrical plus a few maintenance items such as fork seals, valve clearance checks etc.

Have to admit the more I ride it the more I like it. Range is not good so I found out just recently where we have some great bike roads but when in the lower gears I was surprised to see I only got 150km before the fuel warning light came on.

Re. Work done!
Sounds like your Gen2 is a regular bike. Get the std few issues fixed and you have a bullet proof rocket ship!

Re. MPG.
It's called 'Smiles per Gallon ', and you get more of these than with most other bikes, by all accounts!
