Hi i need a new sprocket and chain kit for my all year round commute bike.
It is a YAMAHA XJ600n 1997 any suggestions on which make ? length? links? seen some heavy duty ones for @ £90 but dont know whether i am wasting my money looking at h/duty or not what should i do ?.:dowhat

My only rule when buying chains is 'DON'T DO CHEAP'.

Cheap **** always fails early and when you least expect it to.

I always use DID chains, usually the best I can afford in that range for that particular bike.

If you've ever seen the damage a chain break can do to someones leg or the engine/swingarm etc... then you'd never buy cheap.

I usually get my chains etc... from B and C Click Me

All you have to do is call them and they'll tell you what's right for your bike, always found them to be very helpful.

Thanks Amb:thumbup
have already looked at the DID and TSUBAKI on M&P and B&C Express.
Wasn't sure which to get tho which one was the better quality brand. Do you swear by DID chains then as the beter quality brand? Even tho it's only going on my XJ.:devious

I won't fit anything other than DID to my bikes.

Used to do Moto X many years ago and fitted cheap chains then, the grief it caused me taught me a valuable lesson.

Had a cheap chain go once and it sheared off the output shaft when it locked up and spat me off going in to a tight corner.

Would never want that kind of thing to happen on the road, so it's DID for me. No matter what the cost!!!

DID every time never let me down had a cheaper chain snap on an old jap 4 an it took out the engine casing always go for the strongest you can get
