Y2K RSV Bar End Removal

Right then, help me out folks!

Need to swap the bar ends from the track bike to the road bike. Easy enough getting the ends themselves off obviously but how do you remove the part that is inserted in the actual bar that the black end mounts to?

I know I've taken them off a bike before but can't for the life of me remember how!

Thanks in advance

Jon

Undo the big nut then twist and pull the other part out, it might be tight so squirt some wd up the bar and give it a twist

Thanks for that..........I'd already tried that with no joy but for some reason I couldn't remember whether they were 'screw in' or 'push fit'

So, it's brute force and ignorance time :thumbup

Give it some!

On a side note, my track bike doesnt have the rubber spacer that fits into the throttle tube. Does this make a difference? Seems ok without it.

Be fine without as it's only an anti vibration piece.
