Has anybody has this happen to them, whilst going down the gears my bike seems to be going into neutral, it doesn't happen all the time but I've never had a bike when it's done this before. I wasn't sure wether this was something the RSVR's had a bit of a reputation for but its certainly caught me out a few times now over shooting into corners .

Cant say ive had that problem.:dunno

But i dont usually need to go down the box that much for a corner, if your hitting neutral then you must be going for first gear and i would ask is it necessary to go back to 1st.:confused

Once or twice I've got to admit have been mistakes just forgetting what gear I was in, but 2 or three times it's happened going into tight corners almost hairpins. I haven't changed the gearing yet so it's still a bit lumpy low down.

be precise with your changing, you may well just be to light on the lever causing it to find a false neutral, done it myself before

I endorse all these points. Also, after I'd set up my gear lever to the right angle I don't hit that neutral any more.
The right angle is when you are sitting on the bike and can engage first gear without having to bend your ankle to the maximum your boot will allow. All gear changes then are within the comfort zone.

Cheerfor the input fellas, I'll try the gear shifter position.:thumbup

LOL...:nana theres a false neutral between every gear... and it sounds like Nelly is managing to hit it on down changes....
as Bodger says...
firm accurate shifts are needed... you MAY have you lever a tad too low causing you to not quite depress it enough to change down properly...:thumbup
