Bike has sat unused since January - so not too long. Was running great before had. It is a 2007 Tuono R with about 3500 miles.
I just replaced the battery and it shows 12.6 volts (plenty).
All the fuses look good.
Put the key in and everything is normal on the instrument cluster.
Press the starter - I hear a high pitched noise (no cranking) and then NOTHING. Doesn't turn over. Nothing. (I am guessing the high pith noise is the fuel pump)
I rechecked all the connections and checked the fuses several times, try try again with the same result. High pitch noise and then nothing.
Now some other relevant info.
In the process of removing the saddle I dropped the screw "somewhere." I looked everywhere in the bike and even removed the farings and lifted the tank to try to find the damn screw. I didn't find the screw. Is it possible in lifting the tank I screwed something up?
Any ideas or tips would be greatly appreciated. I am going to replace the spark plugs as a next step but it will take a few days for me to get new ones and I want to get ths bike started yesterday.
thanks so much.
