Winter storage question.

HI all. I live in Sweden, my question is should I left my tank full on my Tuono rsv 1000 under the winter period, or empty the tank and store it warm? Best regards Daniel. [emoji12]

General view is not to store bikes with petrol in the tank as it will go off and gum up the injectors. That said, I've laid bikes up for 3-4 months over the Winter with petrol in and never had any problems. Over 4 months without use I'd probably drain the bike of fuel first.

leaving the tank full was prevention against corrosion...

not needed on plastic, run it down, it,ll be reet.

Or better still, get out and ride it if you find a dry sunny day :thumbup That said, I have never had an issue leaving it for 3-4 months.

If putting the bike away for say 6 months, is it a big deal getting both wheels up off the ground or is the back enough?

I'm not keen on my ABBA front lift, which goes on the sump, on the V4 as the sump is too close to the back of the bike and the front goes too high. Used to work better with my Fireblade.

Sorry for thread hijack, but related and you got the answer :cheers

If possible, get both wheels off the floor.

Stops flat spots on the tyres & you can spin the wheels, keep the chain lubed etc.
