Wind blast ?

HEy lads.

Are you getting really bad windblast ? anything over 100mph is a bit hard going.

I'm wondering if it's just the bike, or my textile KTM jacket.

Took the wifes 600SRAD home yesterday for her to ride, it wasn't nearly as windy.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

You gotta be ******* with us weeksy! IT'S A NEKKID BIKE!!!!!!!! Of course it has wind blast. Makes a manly man out of you!

He's a fookin gob *****. Don't let him get to ya Weeksy. He's still sore after the rearsets near miss.

I had a mental picture of a big tear in a set of retro leathers (arrgh my eyes), then I realised what you meant Nobi. I'm sure svvl doesn't hold grudges and that he didn't really want those rearsets from weeksy.

Like you weeksy, my textile Dryrider jacket gives me the ***** over 160-180. It keeps flapping near the shoulders and it drives me mad. I tuck in (as far as my ample proportions will allow) when i wick her up to those speeds.

Yes I wanted the rear sets and no I understand, they got sold. (dammit!) That being said, I still hold all of you beholden to me to help source some new ones. I was just told by another racer that although the Gilles look the dawgs bollocks, they aren't that robust. Frankly, I'd rather have robust than good looking. Keep looking for me mates!!

And if that scrawny lil pissant weeksy feels that he is hung out in the breeze, try 6'5" and 270lbs dripping wet slicing through the air at 240kph....

(it's good to be big... I get to call just about everyone else a scrawny lil pissant!!) *grin*

Looking at the Acculigns, thanks chunk. I want to have a little bit of adjustability so that for everyday I have some leg room and for the track I can raise 'em up a little. I need new toe sliders already from just having my tippy toes on the peg and hitting the deck.

Yeah, yeah, weeksy... I'm going to be practicing kissing the mirror this round so the bike stays more upright and no more lo-sides...

I understand it's a naked :) My last 4 have been nakeds. But the fairing on the T looks a bit more substantial than the other previous ones (Superduke, 950SMR, XT660) so i'd assume it would have a bit less wind blast.

Maybe i'm just trying to justify a new leather jacket ;)

ROBUST

Yes... yes they are.

Send me the lever and the peg from the other side nobbie dearest and I'll nae have to look anymore.

(don't the black acculigns make you the least bit horny tho? ??? they do, me.

Weeksy

Yours is a Gen 1 isn't it?

The stock screen is pants, best for wind protection is the MRA Touring screen, but it's a fugly batsard, I use the MRA spoiler screen, slightly shorter but OK up to about 120 ish. I am 5'-9" if I stand up really straight.

Any nob can pull a wheelie on a Tuono by whacking the throttle open... Yer just controlling the bike better Dave. Wicked shot lad. Love the IOM pucks. When I am as scrawny as stoney or weeksy, then I'll be getting a little better suit than the retro Power Ranger model I'm sporting now. I'll be sporting pucks like that or the St Andrews pucks.
I wish that we had some tracks here that emulated the ones that I see in the UK. To much cold and snow though. I'd love to be humping Andiamo over the Mountain.

Dave

I share the same problem, as soon as the front lifts I panic and shut off - this is probably my best effort :cheers

Fly over mate, you have free use of the Sofa bed and the Tuono for all the trackdays you can desire.

I'll ride the wifes gixer 600 and we'll do Cadwell :)
