Last night was first drink since Monday (like Stix) a bottle of red and 5 x Carlsbergs

Felt as rough as a badgers arse this morning but will doubtless do it again tonight.
 
Solid advice Gilo, and thanks for that. I had already thought that steel might be the way to go and now I have corroboration... Looking at the long travel forks now. I have an auld Trek 850 Antelope that is 20 years + now and still going. That front end just isn't forgiving enough for my busted up self.

On a lighter note. Introduced a mate to Strongbow this week... He likes it... a lot apparently...

And later its the 3 for a tenner deal from Asda Home of the Mutant. 2 Chili red and a white for the lady.
 
Some of us are secure enough in our masculinity that we can drink anything we want and not have to compensate for a pencil **** by drinking ***** beer. I'll stick to me Guinness thanks. Mixed on occasion with some Strongbow...

P'raps... I can get Irn-Bru at th' Scottish Shoppe in town... but it's sae fackin' dear tha' it maks it more than th' Guinness per can...

I'm on the cans of Kronenburg tonight. Riding with Shotgun et al down in Somerset in the morning. Theory is if I do beer tonight instead of wine I'll drink less and have a clearer head for the ride. Not had Krony for a while though and it's going down rather (too) well....... baaaaaaarrpp.........

Guiness with a spot of lime, the lime takes the bitter edge off. It's fir wimen and poofters though.
 
Guinness with anything is wrong. Years ago when I worked in a bar this dozy bint used to come in and ask for a half of Guinness shandy. Took about half an hour to pull the ******.
