I am taking delivery of a twin system shortly (cheers Hardy!!) and will be fitting it over the next month or so. I have a friend whos sending me a template and fitting instructions (cheers Andy!!) He aslo mentioned though, that there are other little changes to be made for it to fit well (which i didn't realise!!) like left footrest mod, chain guard etc....

So i'm on to ask if anyone who has previously done it could post up all the little "extras" that need doing so i can start to get organised!!!

Thanks alot folks...................:thumbup

hi i'm looking at fitting one to my 2002 rsv, would like to know of any mods before i commit to paying out any money, all i know up to now is that a falco set of headers will fit my bike.
I would also like to know of any other mods that need to be made.

C'mon, I know that a week after you've installed it, it will be back up for sale and exhaust number 17 will be found :thumbup

Boys,

to fit the twin system you need to mod the rear of the bellypan fairing ,Smiffy done mine with a 3 inch grinding wheel and it turned out ok...there is a template about..

.sidestand?....the stand might catch on the link pipe when up on a paddock stand but once your sat on it it should be ok...hooked fitted leo vince twin system and that came with a spacer for the stand.

which just leaves us with the hanger/footrest dilema..if you want footrests you need to find a rare (expensive) left hand footrest that has the built in hanger.. i.e. late edwards rep...(did haga reps have twin exhausts?)...modify a standard one with the Akropovic conversion kit(expensive)/or weld a hanger on to match the right sde or buy a pair of falco footrests like i did...they come up on ebay every now and then, i blagged a set for £15 inc postage. They line up with the frame bolt holes but dont extend back as much as the Mille standard ones so the can straps are nearer the front of the can..and are also more comfortable for the pillion

and no the newer shape rear peg hangers do not fit

LMFAO

ps we are only jealous andi as we arent as rich as you:inlove

Tim, my man.............not Rich just loads of debt!!!!! I'm a Fireman remember..........the lowest of the low in the opinion of the Goverment (in public sector pay scales anyway!!) TOSSERS!!!

So, if i don't need/want rear footrest hangers, does this remove alot of these hassles dude?? Going to get another high level link pipe made (a copy of my existing one) which does away with the rear footrests!
