Right we have all had a bike we regret selling , even if most of the time we have to change up or need the cash .
Here's mine from a few years back , she was a beauty

My first propper bike., other than an old CB 750.
It nearly got stolen out of the house (police were tipped off by someone).
I put it in against a Fireblade & regretted it.
I bought it back from the guy who bought it from the shop after 6 years (chance meeting in a pub)
Kept it a while, streetfightered it (but kept all the bits), sold it again.
Got it back again in the spring, de-streetfightering it (is that a word) & making it standard again.
Had the same bike for approx 15 years, over the 3 times I have owned it.
Hmm,....I usually sell a bike get something better. In this case I sold a bike to get something different.Anyroadup, here's my 2005 Ducati 999S.Yep,the looks are a bit 'challenging' for some folks, but I loved it.Owned it from new,and fitted every useful mod and tasteful accessory.Handling was set up to perfection and a fantastic motor.Sold it after being diagnosed with cancer.I just did'nt have the strength to hold on to the beast anymore.
As I got fitter,I decided I needed a naked bike to get me back into the bikes again. After looking at loads of bikes,I made a huge mistake in buying a Hypermotard 1100S.Hated the fookin thing,so flogged it,.... bought the T and discovered a whole new type of riding.
and btw keith, thats a bonny duc. me mucker who has ducworld had a very similar machine, fit and healthy lad, he couldnt even cope with it before he went over to the s/fechter..
