I have a 2006 RSVR and want some gold clutch and brake levers. Not sure if I want stubby or full size but want to make sure I get a decent make as I know there is some awful knock off stuff out there. Any help?

ASV levers are superb..... dont know why anyone would bother with the stubby type tbh....how many motogp , wsb riders do you see usimg them ....big fat zero lol

Personal preference on feel m8 how many motogp, wsb riders do you see riding every day on the road!!

true but .....nice to have a full length lever in case you need it .... personally I hate the look and feel of Shorty levers lol

It's a personal thing.
I have crg's on both bikes, (a honda and the ape)
I have shorties on the ape, and full length on the honda.
It's interesting when I take the longer clutch lever off the honda and use it on the aprilia. Looks wierd, but works well and its a nice option. The extra leverage helps even with the mpl slave.
The shortie brake though? Perfect.

I agree regarding asv, although i like the stubby ones, i have them on my 2001arsevee R and i much prefer them to longr type.

I would like to see photo's if possible. I think a stubby brake and full size clutch is the way I want to go.

Hi wizbit,

Primarily for handlebar vibration reduction but they do offer "some" crash protection........I have noticed the RSV riding position does seem to put stress on the wrist…..a lot more than other bikes I’ve owned so vibration control helps and these bar ends provide a little additional balance/weight than some of the shorter bar ends…

Ahhr right, very good. I do get slightly numb hands after a while. Maybe I should be thinking along these lines. So i'm guessing you've found an improvement from using these then??

Cheers Dave

Yes, they do make a difference....not huge but noticeable

I must admit a love/hate relationship with this bike. I truly love this bike………….I love how I feel when I’m riding it. I love how it performs/sounds/feels/looks. I hate how my body feels after riding it…….generally the next day. The bar ends and aftermarket riser clip ons definitely help. I needed a few “little adjustments” to compensate for the naturally aggressive riding position and to be honest the rearsets aggravate that already agressive riding position even more. I’m in great shape but I’m 56 and I do ride more on the aggressive side so looking for a few little things to make the ride last longer as well as a little more “civilized” really helps with overall enjoyment….

I had some cheapo levers in black ....fitted fine and were superb ....only thing that let em down was the black anodizing faded in the sunlight after 3/4 months over summer ... apart from that they were great ...paid £40 for the pair

her indoors bought some ASV levers for me at Xmas .... defo worth the extra wonga IMO :D

Every aftermarket catalog I see has levers for '03 - '08 RSV 1000 R's. Does anyone know if there was a change in 2009? Aprilia wants $136 USD for oem. - ouch!
