guy's I have just bought a set of alpinestar monza 1 pc leathers and need a new set of boots to go with them.

I would like to hear your recommendations on a good sports boot.

I.e alpinestar/Sidi etc

Thanks.

I have Sidi Vertigo boots. Had them for 4 years now and they have lasted well. A good boot for those of us bigger blokes with rugby calves lol

Vertigo's get my vote, commute in mine, do track days in em, crashed in them twice and you can get spares for them.

Yep...the verts are a great boot, but not very waterproof....daytona do a superb twin skin all rounder....but they're about £450 a pop.

thank you guys I have been looking at the vertigo and the vortices, I also like the look of the supertech R.

Got some vertigos myself that are doing me well, got them second hand off a mate and they have been great. Need to get some new soles soon though as they are worn out!

Just sold my vortice boots to go back to supertech R's mate..........IMO much much comfier.

Sidi Vortice here.
Easy to replace worn out bits, and pretty comfy to boot. When the sole goes through, just screw a new patch on ;).

Thanks lads,

When i get home in Feb, will take a trip to Demon Tweeks and try a few different pair on and see what feels comfy between the vortice and supertechR

Cheers,

scotty.

Whichever boots you go for, make sure that they provide ample support and protection to the ankles, the most important and complex joint in your body.
If you break an ankle, the consequences could be far reaching and never ending,
