Where can I get a reliable noise test besides at a race track?

Hello.
I need to get the DB output checked on my 08 T. It has MTC exhausts. I've got a noise tester which says it is running at 98 DB @5500 revs. I've emailed MTC and the respondee reckons it'll put out between 90-100 DB. The gent who owned the bike before me reckons it'll be under. All good so far.

It just sounds bloody noisey to me. I don't quite trust this noise tester I have and the guys at Aprilia Performance doubted that it'd pass a noise test.

It is a track bike so a ride out to a track day is out of the question. Any ideas where I can get a reliable sound check other that at track?
Alternatively, any ideas on making sure I get an accurate read out on my noise tester?

A mate has a knows the DB output on his bikes so we are going to compare what his put out and what my tester says.

Thanks in advance.

by noise tester you don't mean an app on your phone do you?
sound is a funny thing as 2db is twice as loud as 1db, but 3db is twice as loud as 2db !
so My tuono with Akra's on without Baffles "sounds" louder than my GSXR1000 with twin arrows. BUT the GSXR registers a higher db reading.
depending on where you're going and what you're doing will depend on if you'll pass the noise test.
the only place I've needed to put my baffles in is Rockingham.
But failing that if you go to the local council and say you have a nuisance neighbour they may even lend you a meter?

I like the council idea :)
By noise tester I mean an actual hand held meter noise tester.jpg
A bit like the one I've (tried to) attach.

That's pretty much what they use at a track day.
Where are you taking the reading from?
You need to hold the device 1 Meter away from the outlet of you can at a 45 degree angle.

1 meter, 45 degrees. Got it. Cheers. I'll try it tomorrow.
