Guys

There's a guy on the Club Aprilia forum who has been making alloy caps for brake and clutch fliud reservoirs and I believe that he does coolant caps too. I think his user name is Rhody. These are some of the caps he has produced in gold but I believe that he can do other colours:

They are fantastic!!!!

good find :thumbup

they look good.

They are manufactured using 3D milling, quite a bit of work in each one!

Before i start looking into making some myself how much are they?

Does anyone know if the thread and size of cap is the same on all years off rsvr? I took mine off my bike today to get a pattern.

cheers

I think the clutch and brake caps were £35 each. I didn't see a price for coolant caps. It's certainly a clever bit of machining!

Ricky Rotax on this site has a set of the caps on his bike....he can probably tell you more if you ask him.

ok thanks, will look into it.

Althought they are smart im not sure id be willilng to pay that sort of money for something that cant be seen, isnt it behind the fairing on all milies?

:thumbup

on my 02 it shows just after the upper panel trim, which is shorter. The upper coolant cap is under the fairing strip further up

dont suppose you got a piccy ck mate?

I have a 04 rsv and mine is behind the fairing, the fact its not seen by anyone id say a plain alloy one would be fine and a lot cheaper the manufacture.

It is also important to bear in mind that metal to plastic threads arent advised for obvious reasons, i guess it doesnt matter much in this case as its something that is rarely used and the thread is quite course.

sorry matey no piccy, but you can almost see it in my avatar picture the top up cap is just in front of the middle crash bund in the picture. Your 04 must be different.

Wow, those are sick. I may have to rethink about the carbon fiber ones I been drooling over. :thumbup
