Being someone who has always had too large a dose of self preservation, what's the best technique for wheelying the Tuono?

I'd love to give it a try - but don't want to go right over or drop the thing!

I imagine there must be a technique that can be practised in stages, rather than going from two wheels to vertical mono in one go!

Any recommendations anyone...................?

I taught myself how to wheelie on an old bandit 600 i had over winter.. It didnt really have the power to get me into trouble if something went **** up!

how ever, on the tuono i simply use the power in 1st and 2nd to loft the front up, 3rd i use the clutch with a minor lift on the bars.

In regards to practice... I would say start very small in 1st, just put it in your mind that you want the front wheel 3-5 inches off the floor, keep at it and practice.. remember good throttle control is your friend!

I have never in my whole time doing wheelies, touched my back brake.. i have never needed too and hell ive had bikes on the point of no return!

And always power through the wheel stand. If you snap off the throttle the front end smashes to the ground thats hard on fork seals, forks, steering head bearings, triple clamps and so on.

with the T, its an easy 3-step process

1) 1st or 2nd gear...twist hard.
2) stop twisting when you see the ski.
3) don't kill yourself
