Thinking of having my wheels painted, as they have started to look a little tired. Does anyone know what the name of the gold that Aprilia use? And weres the best place to get some from?

Thats what I was thinking of. I wanted to try & match the colour. Thats the plan anyway.
Go to local bodyshop and look through their colour chips. You will be limited on colour choice having them powder coated. Getting them painted means you don't have to faff about removing and replacing bearings.

I went for gold paint - not intended as an exact match to the original, but descent finish nonetheless.

I've had wheels powder coated and painted, and IMHO, paint provides better value for money (durability vs. cost vs. appearance).

Thanks for the advice. What shade of gold did you use, its quite a nice shade that one.

Dunno precisely - I just asked my workshop (JHS Racing) to paint them 'blingy gold' and cited a Talon gold anodised sprocket as an example of what to aim for.
Thanks for the advice guys, I'll go to the local paint shop and have a look at the colours & go from there.
Took the rear wheel off last night to change the wheel bearings, and the sprocket carrier, thats bolted to the wheel was loose! Any body else had this problem?
