Wheel Bearings

Not sure what ya mean mate?

All I know is they look exactly like what I took out!

I am yet to change wheel bearings in the RSV, however in my old Duke, the front wheel bearings were dble race ... was an idle question really. If those on the Bay are the same numbering, then they should be sweet.
Just fitted new rubber, front and rear on mine. Wheel bearings still feel good :D

I got a set of OZ's second hand. When I took the bearing seals off they were rusted and shot to bits. I couldn't even get them out. I have had to leave them with the place that is powder coating them to get them out. They were well knackered.

supposedly only done 12,000 miles as well!!!

Bearings are like any other item, you can get good quality manufacturers, or you can get cheap ****** ones that won't last :eatcorn

Can you find out what brand they are :dunno

I have mailed him to ask.

How much should I be paying for a set of bearings and seals then?

Dan

Well I have bought them, so I will let you know what they are like and they perfom. If they are any good, it presents a huge saving on OE.

Got my front bearings from a local bearing supplier for 12 quid,he reckons as good as oe ones. done 5000 miles on them and they are still sweet, even with cack handed front wheel landings!

I bought mine from a local bearing supplier for under £20. You need a internal bearing puller for the rear or a long, pointed steel drift and a mechanical sympathy bypass. Oh, and a big hammer.

How easy are the front bearings to change :confused

Got my seals £1.31 each, £11 each on the aprilia parts site FFS...... just waiting for the bearings now :thumbup
