there are immitations caterpillar the only ones which are true oz's are on the R and the FACTORY the tuono's and rsvr(new shape are imo's) you can tell by the weight and oz is written on the inside spoke or hub:thumbup

so what am i looking for , what indications would tell me that a set are real oz's?............

ive seen wheels with oz aprilia decal on th rim.

I see I see, I see no fish :D

Thanks RS3, I didn't realise they had produced immitations :thumbup I always thought it was only the R's and Factory's that came with OZ's fitted. So I take it the newer shape have replica OZ wheels as standard and not the same five spoke style on the non R original shape RSV.

oh right ok that helps........cheers mate...

thing is how many people has this thread got in their garage right now inspecting wheels for proof of origionsals:pirate

All the wheels are made in china now.
The forged version is made to the original Oz spec under license but is not an official Oz. The license grants the use of the name also. Oz Italy no longer make Motorcycle wheels just car stuff.

The Factory wheels are forged instead of cast which gives a claimed 20% weight reduction.

Later versions have "OZ Forged" and the wheel size cast into the rim.

what about part numbers......do origionals have part no's stamped on them
Hi gringo,
Check out my Garage pics ,Ive uploaded some pics of my wheels hope it helps. There is Oz printed into the center hubs and what maybe the part number not sure about that could be Aprilia or Oz numbers.

weights of wheels are

rear 5.267 kilos
front 3.678 kilos

Mine are still for sale at £550 plus buyer pays carriage, this is a fair price for wheels in such good condition, do you want to risk buying of ebay, these are the real McCoy:biggrin
