thinking of selling my rsv but values are so varied and dont know what to ask. For a 2007 model red and silver on an 08 plate with the following;
titanium akraprovics and standard
power commander and southern cross custom dyno (130 bhp at the rear)
renegade air box
ohlins steering damper
11000 miles
oberline? clutch slave
very good 2CT's
full service history, mot, tax

confused by people who sell for very low prices. Love the bike and never bothered what it was worth before but need to know before i give it away. I would have thought £5500.... help

i am no expert but i think 5500 is a bit too high for a bike thats done 11k miles

i got my bike for 5500 when it was still in warranty and had done about 3000 miles and imho i paid too much for it, being a base model not factory..

granted you have a ton of goodies and probably spent a load on upgrading the bike but generally buyers dont consider mods as valuable, this is why you see quite a few people setting the bike back as standard and then chucking the mods on ebay for a bit of extra dosh

i would hazard a guess at £4000 for all of it but you may struggle to sell even at that price, the standard price of slightly aged models is down at about £2500 last i looked, below that and they are obviously selling fast cus thrs something wrong with the bike lol

obviously you should try and sell at what YOU think is a good price, just be careful of over pricing so much that it takes years to sell, and if you think "i dont mind waiting a while to sell it for a good price" you should take a good look at WHY you are considering selling at all

A quick look at Parkers gives:

Aprilia RSV 1000 R 2008/08

Original Price £8,869
Independent Dealer £4,605
Private Good £4,150
Private Poor £3,095
Part Exchange £3,475

Wolf's £4K valuation seems to be spot on........

always seem to be worth much more when you have them..... overpriced when you want to buy eh?

Yup, My 2003 RSV is worth about £2.2 - £2.5K max. When I look at it I can't believe how little it is worth....
On the other hand If I wanted a new bike and only had a couple of G's to spend...wow.....

:exclamation

i just part exed my 2005 rsvr for £3200 it had 12000 miles on her i left the mivv x-cones on but took the other goodies off and made a few hundred selling them on here and ebay, have a look on autotrader and it'll give you an idea £4000 is a decent trade in price you would be better to keep it until the start of the summer when the prices are on the up now is never a good time to sell as people want to go out in nice weather on there new purchases not stare at them in a garage youll get nearer the £5000 mark but take off the pc3 and sell that you could pickup £180 for it.....
