whats in the box

Hi all
Just havin a look around my prila and was wondering if anyone can shed any light on 1:- whats in the metal box under the rider seat and why has the anti tamper seal been broken. 2:- What is the metal rod for thats clipped to the sub frame under the pillion seat.:confused The bike is standard and a 99 model.

Hi,right number 1...eeerrrrmm dont know,could be ecu or ......no thats about it for me sorry.
number 2 thats easy,its the tank support,for when you're working on the engine/airbox.it holds the tank up outta the way

Thought it might be the ecu but dont know why someones had it open :dunno. Is this where the mapping chip lives :confused

HI well im not to sure what the metal box is :dunno could be ecu ???,but i do know what the metal rod is.....its the tank support.for when you wanna work on the engine/airbox so the tank dont smack you the back of the head

It could be that its been de-restricted from the ECU , check to see if a wire has been snipped and taped up :thumbup

Box is the ecu and it has been opened to probably put a different chip in to suit a can that was fitted

The rod is the tank stay:thumbup

That cant be good then badger as its got the standard can on but i will be gettin a can off father christmas ( if i`ve been a good boy :biggrin )

They may have put the standard chip back in though, standard chip is the best bet, i have an RSC Ti Aprilia can for sale if yer interested:thumbup
