Just out of interest, and mainly due to the Badboy road trip to france whats best?

pretty much anything that involves strapping you're legs either side of an Aprilia.................

me personally i'll be using a oxford products tailpack it sits well out of the way no weight on your shoulders its easy to take of the bike and it also doubles as a rugsack anyway so the best of both worlds

yeah true but thats a given! never had to carry anymore that a phone a wallet before, just thinking about a long ride out, dont want a bag getting in the way, i got a speed hump on my leathers too!

The tailpack is ideal and it will take no end of kit I mean for what we'll need for 2 days its perfect

and you get all the kit with it such as straps and a water proof cover which is useful and hopefully we wont need it when we go to france fingers crossed

I've got the kriega tailpacks, fit perfectly to the bike, also you can add extra packs to them if you need to carry more kit, ideal for weekend trips away

rock yours the same as this one on flea bay ? 200192817702 item code !

And is your 20 litres ?

Cheers Bro !

Don't do what I did and take panniers, if you don't strap them on correctly then

I use the baglux tank cover / tank bag or the Ventura tailpack..........

Or both on a long trip. This is last years 6 day trip to Nurburgring and WSBK at Magny Cours :thumbup

I use Oxford humpback panniers so i can keep the seat hump to store my waterproofs and a Kriega R25 rucksack, can't fault either :thumbup

Yep there the ones, I've got the US20 (20 Litres) like the one listed in that auction, also I have 2 US10's which strap onto the US20 to make 40 litres, you can also just use the US20 + US10 for 30 litres.
When it comes to weekends away I tend to use either 30 or 40 litres, but if it's just a day trip somewhere I take 10 litres to keep essentials, they really are the best motorcycle luggage around.
Plus I have the R3 bumbag, which is excellent as you hardly notice it's there.
More info is at www.kriega.com plus you can order directly from them if you don't want to get involved in another ebay pissing contest!!

you must get a high speed weave with that behemoth strapped to the back!! and how do you manage to lift your leg high enough to get on and off thebike.
Kreiga rucksacks all the way for me, seen to many tailpacks falling off to want one.

Would agree with most of above...tailpack is way to go...unfortunately I've got sports panniers, which will burn if I use them on the RSV...so got them on e-bay to get necessary sheckles to buy tailpack!!

True when I lived down south i was part of London Bikers and one of the dudes there who had an R1 had an interesting scare where one of the tail packs ended up between hugger and wheel or something like that:eek:

Resulted in rear wheel locking up coming of a motorway on the bend of a slip road...(if i rememeber correctrly)

So if you do bring luggage, personally i would do the backpack, but have all the weight low down and have it sort of narrow and flat at the top to stop the burn!!! (The opposite way of packing a rucksack for walking)

Mind you, I would say there are thousands of ppl who never have had a prob with tail ones!!

20-30 litre back pack is all i need for 6 days abroad. I try to go as light as poss.
Its not nice following someone on a road with no run off whilst their tail pack teeters to one side ready to fall in your path!!
Ck

I think the record for me was x2 pairs lasting 3 months in Belize (jungle) wore one pair while I scrubbed the others!
